I would like to have multiple charge slots, but on my gen1 battery I only seem to have the option of 1 slot. I did use wonderwatt, but don't want to pay a subscription simply to get extra slots. Is there other free third party software people would recommend, or a way to make the givenergy portal or app do what I want?
The smart tariff card on the portal will do it.
Home Assistant with as many slots as you like, OR add Predbat and let it do all the calculations and predictions for you.

Ok, I'll look into adding the tarrif details. Also, I do have a raspberry pi for home assistant, but never got started with it. Maybe I need to dig it out and try again.
BJM you don't need to go full home assistant - with an always-on rpi you can just use cron to use the API.
Inverter monitor app the paid version does an excellent job if you can have it running at home on an android device.
The app is free but the ability to add charging slots is pretty cheap imo.
