Your GivEnergy Portal has a brand new look and feel 🎉

You'd have thought they would have checked that the text fitted when updating the branding. I now can find several instances of text overlaps or text being truncated by the edge of the frame. Can anyone see a way to improve things to make it more readable?

Also just above the left arrow in the image below is the refresh icon. I'm forever selecting the back arrow and finding that I've hit the refresh instead - losing the dates I have setup.

Depends on monitor, keyboard, and browser. CTRL+ and CTRL- work on most browsers.

Totally agree so annoying. But that's how things are done at GE, Marketing says jump, and everyone jumps.

As I have written elsewhere The app looks like the Infant School art Club designed it. It was so much better before you started messing with it.

Questions:

1. Who designs an app where you cannot turn off the splash screen?
2. Who Designs an App that Users who suffer from Colour Blindness cannot read anymore?
3. Who takes away the user choice to customise light or Dark screen?
4. Who doesn't test their App very well before releasing it?
5. Who doesn't care what their users think?
6. Who ...................................?

All things GE it gets more like Stalag13 every day that goes by.

The new portal is an eyesore and starts giving me a headache trying to use it, ive had to completely avoid it.

Don't know what genius thought all those colors worked well together.

It is 100% Grade A rubbish imo.

I use Home Assistant not the portal, but I’ve just taken a look around and to me it doesn’t look that awful and unusable. Yes the black or white text on yellowy green buttons is a poor choice, some of the times they were almost unreadable, but most of the rest of the screens, the per inverter detail, settings, tables of data, etc were all exactly the same as they were.

The ipad and iphone apps are what appear to have changed far more with a dark bottle green background colour. I don’t particularly care for that colour but it still operates the same and is still usable to me. I can live with it all

Anyone who doesn't understand the basic principles of designing colour schemes which work for colour blind people shouldn't be let anywhere near web design.

Its (yet) another example of gross incompetence, no surprise there as its GE.
