I am not good at this. I use Octopus but have never managed to link it with GivEnergy despite following the instructions. So I have tried to use timing to get the battery to charge at night during the cheap rate. It does not do this naturally. So I set the first time to charge the battery between 00.01 - 02:00 and save and its all great. But the next morning it has not charged and the time set is not there. Do not know how to fix this.

Help please

Hi. It helps us help you (just other punters) to know what equipment you have and what tariff you are on.
Lots of people have experienced time charge and discharge issues and use 3rd party tools such as:
Wonderwatt, Octo R&D lab scheduler and Home Assistant ( I think there are others)

gio have a look at the activity log. - on the web portal, from inverter choose remote control, then the logs are at the bottom of that page. It should show you setting the time, and then if that got changed, that should be recorded too. And it may indicate who/how.

We used this last winter with no problems but having activated it again this autumn it’s not charging when it’s supposed to. Only change is new WiFi which I set up with no apparent issues in the summer. I’ve requested help but it appears they no longer have a customer service number!

What is "this" here? Static configuration of the inverter registers, or smart tariff on the GE portal, or one of the web-based external agents, or something else?
