Has anyone spotted this change?

matttheotter Which Change? It has been like that on my system since installation. It does not work with my system Dual AIO with Gateway, have been at GE for months asking them to fix it.

duplada last time I looked local control was still a bit of a mystery.

I suspect if its not working on your AIO then it won’t work on mine.

matttheotter It works on Single AIO's from what I am lead to believe, Dual AIO's which I have are controlled by the Gateway and you have a "Virtual Battery (2 x AIO's 13.5kWh) The portal command for Inverter Battery Power doesn't work on Virtual Batteries so the Hybrid options and Don't Discharge House Batteries to EV don't work. It requires new Firmware to support this but GE don't know when or if they will support it.

i think the news here is the fact that you can select inverter control LOCAL as in...wired

Might look at doing that as my EV charger is flakey at best on the WiFi, but the AIO is solid. Is there any good information about hooking them together [EVC -> Gen1 AIO]?

duplada is there anyway to know if the EVC has been cabled into the Gateways comm?

I am NO Expert on this don't take my word for Gospel.

Only Way is to switch the power off to the EV charger. Take the EV charger cover off and take a picture of the Cabling termination blocks, you can then refer to the Installation manual for the EV to confirm from your picture which wires are connected on your installation.

On mine I don't have a picture unfortunately I have the EV Ultra cable that is mains and Ethernet combined. I am pretty sure that I only have maims wires that go to the Gateway and a Ethernet wires connected to the LAN connections.

Its my folks one so I will need to have a look, my concern is the installer put an isolator near the charger.....
