How to prevent exporting to grid when batteries aren't fully charged

Our data shows that at times we are exporting a small amount to the grid despite not having a fully charged battery. Is there a setting to sort this, or is it a case that we are limited in the rate/speed of recharging the batteries and any excess not needee will then export to the grid? I saw that you can time when to export to grid, but that isn't the same as only exporting once batteries hit 100%.

it's normal for a small amount to be exported/imported from the grid as the inverter has a bit of lag as your house demand or solar input changes

AnonymousHooman Yes, there is a limit to the power that can be used to charge the batteries. As you say, excess is sent to the grid. Eg my hybrid can charge the batteries at up to 3.6kW (though I tend to limit it to 2kW). If solar exceeds that limit, plus consumption, the rest gets exported.

Interesting which setting do you use to achieve that or is it HA or one of your scripts?

On my Dual AIO system I pause charge the batteries in the Afternoon (I am SW facing) This works really well it, satisfies House Load and sends188 watts of power to trickle charge the my batteries, any Excess to this is Exported straight to the grid. I would be exporting it to the Grid anyway by 23:30 so saves the conversion losses. I pretty much have it set all the time unless we have a week of dull days like last week.

duplada just the charge power in the battery options, as a static setting. But I do dynamically turn pause-charge on and off to try to maintain charge level.

DD Thanks, that command doesn't work on Dual systems as the Gateway controls the two AIO's in parallel
a so called single "Virtual battery" and its not supported in the command set. That's why the GE EV charger doesn't work correctly either because, it use that command to set the power levels in Hybrid and Solar modes.

I think it was early mornings on sunny days, when we had extra power usage for hot water but hadn't got enough solar generation at that time. We were on ECO mode, but have an old immersion heater going on before 9am which I have now shifted to 10am. That's solved most of it, plus a small amount of time we might have had more than we needed for battery charge and usage combined (causing an export to grid in the morning).
