Hello, please can you help me i have never had to commission a second battery on to an existing system, i cant see how to start the process,
Thanks in advance
Commissioning a second battery
This is predominantly a user to user forum, not many installers on here and the GivEnergy staff only pop in from time to time
You could try asking on Facebook, no idea what group name though.
Or you could try asking ChatGPT - it'll point you to various articles for each step of the process.
I presume you are an installer trained/approved by GivEnergy?
I guess at some point you will need to register the battery on their system for warranty purposes.
I thought about buying and fitting a second 9.5 myself, but decided i needed installer access to the GivEnergy system, so have put that on pause
When I got my second battery my installer had to talk to the GE help desk to get it registered.
I don't think it's an automatic process, but things might have changed?
Let us know how you get on....
Rosstac my views entirely as an outsider
If this is an existing installation and you are not the original installer, you will have to take over ownership of the existing system as the first step. I presume GivEnergy support have to do that.
The having ownership of the system I believe you just have to re-commission the system with an extra battery. When I had an extra battery installed my system got completely recommissioned so that’s my guess as what has to be done
