I have received the invite to join GiveBack from GivEnergy, where as I understand it GivEnergy will take control of my Inverter Charging & Discharging my battery to help balance the grid and reward me for allowing it. However there is a caveat that says "This doesn't apply to Octopus customers". As "Octopus Intelligent Go" only controls my Zappi I cannot see why GivEnergy can't control my Inverter. Is the Caveat only applicable to those on other tariffs such as "Intelligent Octopus Flux"

TiBa I think it means that if you have signed up to the Octopus DFS saving scheme then you can’t join GivBack.

This is a relaunch of the Axel energy DFS scheme run last year, looks like it is bigger and Axle is looking to provide broader grid balancing activities.

Personally I would not sign up for it because I am giving up control of my inverter and battery to a third party, and I have no control over when they charge and discharge my battery.
If you are on Intelligent Go then presumably you take advantage of the cheap rate overnight and charge your battery as well as your car overnight?

Will Axle still do that for you, not clear, it didn’t appear to from what I read, and you are relinquishing control so can’t do your own scheduling.
