My batteries won’t discharge below 40% between 16:30 and 19:00 despite the demand for electricity

Hambo There seems to be a feature of some firmwares that cause this... if you have a timed export slot with a minimum SoC, then that minimum is honoured even if you don't enable timed export. So have a look to see if you have any configured export slots with a minimum of 40%. Easier to see in the remote control section since the app makes it harder to see the additional slots.

What is the "Reserve" setting under "Battery Options" in the app?
Do you have any integrations set up? How do you control the batteries - just the app? WonderWatt? PredBat? Home Assistant?
Are you on Intelligent Octopus Flux tariff? Signed up to GivBack?
