Really frustrating to see 1.5 kW being exported rather than being fed to my Tesla. Have a Zappi. Is there anything that can be done with the Inverter/Battery to change so the excess goes to the car?
Exported Electric - Tesla not Accepting Charge

The minimum charge rate for any EV (set by international standards) is 6 Amps on 230 Vac, which equates to around 1.4 kW instantaneous power.
If your solar PV is generating an excess around that value, you can change the operating mode of the Zappi and set a Minimum Green Level of say 80%. The Zappi will then automatically blend an additional 20% from the grid, and the car charge is more likely to start and keep running.
There are other options to boost the export excess from the GE battery, but these would involve manual changing of the inverter mode or the use of an add-on automation system that utilises the GivEnergy API interface.
sixfoot2 If you set your Zappi to ECO rather than ECO+, it will take all the excess and pull from the house battery as well (assuming the Givenergy inverter is in ECO/Mode1). I did this unintentionally a few weeks back as the Zappi defaults to ECO mode when you have to reset it following overvoltage trip!
Another thing you could do is to reduce the charge rate on your battery (assuming there's a long sunny day so there's a long enough window for it to charge at say 1kW). The potential export would then exceed the starting charge for your car.
Simon_C Tried bringing the Green Level to 80% on Eco+, but still no charge into the car sadly.

It would be useful to know what the Zappi display is reporting when the Tesla is not taking charge.
