Looking for some advice. We had a new smart meter installed today. Once commissioned (around 5pm), the GivEnergy batteries started to charge to 100%.
Five hours later the batteries are still 100% and we’re taking electricity from the grid rather than from our batteries.
Nothing’s been changed on the battery settings, so we should be getting energy from them to power the house during the daytime and charging between 23:30-05:30 (Octopus Energy). Any suggestions?

Manzi my guess would be that the CT clamp has been fitted backwards, so the system will interpret import as export, possibly solar, and try to charge the battery to consume it.

Manzi As @dd says, chances are that the CT clamps have been put on the wrong way round by the electrician. I had the same happen to me.

You can simply unclip the CT clamp (white box on the supply into your house), turn it upside down and clip it back on, Perfectly safe, no electricity risk to you at all.
