I plan and control my AIO using predbat, GivTCP , and REST. A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that that the AIO was charging and discharging at 1500W. I traced this back to 5 November, before which it had been charging at the 6kW rate set on the GE portal for well over a year. Puzzled, I contacted GE support (phone worked, WhatsApp didn't) and ran through all their tests but no change.

While waiting for a callback I rummaged around and spotted a control which is not exposed in either predbat or GE portal. GivTCP Control Active Power Rate was set to 27%. although I am certain I have never touched it. I cranked it up to 100% and everything started working as it was prior to Nov 5th.

If your charge rate is not what you expect, you may want to check this.

JRWM47 I use ā€œinverter charge power %ā€ in the portal to control the charge rate of my AIO as it only affects AC charging. In GIVTCP it’s called ā€œBattery charge power %ā€ and even though I have it set to 40% (2400W), every now and again, GIVTCP reverts it back to 100% and I was only noticing sometimes days later.
I’ve now set up an automation to revert it back to my chosen setting if it changes and I can see that the automation has triggered twice in the last month. I have no idea why but I can clearly see it in the GIVTCP log.
