Can anyone help a novice on this - going to my settings I can see only one slot for charging the battery though two for discharging (web version) - is it possible to have multiple charge and discharge slots and if so how do I do this?
Multiple charge slots and discharge slots for a giv-AC3.0 invertor/battery
Sorry dont know about AC3.0.
Could try 3rd party apps on web such as
Wonderwatt
Octopus R&D labs scheduler
Predbat web version
Or
Get a Pi and install Home Assistant and add as many slots as you want
Run Predbat on HA and let it do all the thinking for you
An AC3 only has one charge slot. The only reason I can think you would want more is Octopus Cosy?
This may help.

Another option if you have an old Android phone that you could leave at home is to download the Monitor for GivEnergy Inverter app by Andrew Millar. For a one off fee of £10 you can unlock the control features of the app and set up any schedule you want to. It also gives you a lot of useful information.
There is also the new Smart Tariff card that you could add to the dashboard on the web. I believe you can set it up with your tariff information and it will control charging and exporting. It supports Octopus and EON tarrifs and you can also set up custom tariffs. I have not tried this so cannot say how good it is.
Both Wonderwatt and Predbat web are subscription services.
SteveCook Axle seem to offer a "fully optimised" solution where they manage your battery. And they pay you for providing grid services. No idea if that's relevant / of interest.

Thanks. Plenty to digest
