Hello. I replaced my Router and altered the new one to the old ones SSID name and Password.
So that was that I thought..
My inverter is showing off line and using the Givinsaller app I have been unable to get it on line. The Givinstaller says all complete!!!
What am I doing wrong??
Appreciate and help here, why should it be difficult??

You need to turn off 5gHZ until it connects.
Also does your new router do WPA2 as the GivEnergy dongle cannot deal with newer security settings

Geoffreycoan, thanks again it's all working fine now. Old devices !! Q- do I revert back to WPA3 on my Router or leave it on wpa2 ?

RobRoy594 If your router can support mixed mode then its fine to turn WPA3 on alongside WPA2, but if the setting controls the minimum security level then you’ll have to leave it on WPA2 as that’s all that the givenergy dongles support.
The 5GHz network, once you turn it off and the inverter connects on 2.4, you can turn the 5 back on as the inverter will keep connecting on the 2.4.
You might want to set a fixed IP address for the inverter on the router, it’ll appear as HF-21 or similar. With a fixed address you can program this into the Givenergy app for local mode so the app doesn’t have to hunt for your inverter each time you use it.

hello again.. I tried going back to 5ghz on my router after my INV was online and I lost it all again saying Off line and not seen on the App. Why Why Why! reverted to 2ghz wpa2 and really struggling to get it back online . HELP Please!

RobRoy594 I found that the most reliable solution was to use different names for the 5 and 2.4 networks.

When in 2.4gHz mode did you assign a fixed IP address to the inverter when it was connected. It is called something like HF-21 . That way it seems to be more reliable connection, especially after power cut etc.
I think you can then turn 5gHz back on. Make sure both 2.4 gHz and 5gHz can run simultaneously and that 5 does not turn 2.4 off.
You do not say what router you have. It might help as others may have had the same issues

so , sorted! Lesson learnt- don't change your router!
Fix - Reset Router. Made a GUEST WIFI for the INV. New name new password all on 2.4Ghz only.
Finally got a SOLID blue light!! Deep JOY..

Even better, run a mesh network connected to the router, and connect all devices to that. Then you can swap routers whenever you wish 😃

I've installed a mesh network (Deco 50) and put a node in the garage near the inverter. I Put my VM router into modem only mode to accommodate this. I split the WiFi into two services, one of which is dedicated to 2.4 Ghz IOT (Internet of Things). So there are separate WiFi names , passwords etc.
After much fiddling over several days, I got the system to work.
Since then it has been Offline more than online. The last outtage has been 3 days or more.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Speedy All of that sounds good. I would check on your mesh configuration that things like fast roaming or any other advanced features isn’t enabled, and that security isn’t set to anything higher than WPA2. Also check that the inverter client isn’t configured to pair to a more distant mesh node?
My inverters are connected via a Mercusys mesh network (which is the cheaper version of Deco), a node in my garage, another in the lounge and then one in the study where the fibre comes in. Despite the multiple hops for the inverter connection its pretty rock solid reliable.

Yes, you're right. I was looking down the bottom for it.
Anyway, I tried your first suggestions and the WiFi is now working with the Inverter. Happy days!
