Yeah, that's cold. Where is your battery located?
Mine are inside my garage, but even when empty and idle the cells are not dropping below 12 degrees C

It's in the garage on the wall backing onto our kitchen.
I have a few pieces of 2" kingspan/cellotex I used last year I need to refit.
We are down in the south of England and during the unusually cold -5° our batteries which are outside in an insulated cover got down to 2° before the winter battery protection kicked in.
I have my AIO outside and so far it's been keeping warm, although we've only gotten down to around -1.
I removed the back off a small wooden tool shed to place around it for shelter and sealed the gaps with sealant to keep the wind out, I did wonder if during the summer whether I would need to remove it or open the door but it seems to keep within acceptable range.
I've got a little zigbee temp sensor on the AC isolator switch that's next to the AIO in the same space so I can track the air temp on the inside and also have a Hue motion sensor on the outside that includes a temp sensor.
Have had the odd, weird, drop in temperature but I think that's more a data issue as can't see it dropping that much that fast, it's also probably helped by Predbat charging/discharging overnight as well.

Stever it's also probably helped by Predbat charging/discharging overnight as well.
if you haven’t already its worth setting low power charge mode in predbat which means predbat will calculate the lowest charge rate it can charge your battery in the cheaper rate period. So you get a low slow charge keeping the battery warm rather than a fast sprint and then idle when the battery cools
geoffreycoan Thanks, I may give it a go but my Predbat is nice and stable and I frequently seem to run into problems when I start tweaking it, hence why I'm still on 8.21.3!
The warming effect of the charging/discharging cycle is more of a side benefit since I've only a very small array I like to do a little energy trading.
