New system install and so as you might imagine, I'm fascinated by all the stats. However, I find myself questioning the daily report. I'm dismissing the tariff cost section as I know that Octopus don't get their data out until later in the day but the consumption section looks odd.

How can it be 99% self-consumed if 13% came from the grid? What am I missing here?

Yorkie71 Self consumption I believe is how much energy in total (from solar, battery and grid) was used/consumed vs export to grid. To confirm this you should have a very tiny amount exported to the grid?

What you are missing is how GE calculate self consumption, which is ...

(Solar to home + Solar to battery - Battery to grid) as a percentage of total solar production.

Self consumption refers to how much of your solar production has been used or stored by you.

Thank you. That makes sense now.
