Force charge/export minimum duration recommendation

Hi all,

Just a thought/question - I am experimenting with some things around force charging/exporting at certain times. During a short export I scheduled (I think it was only a 2 min duration), it seemed a calibration started inside those 2 mins or just after it finished.

I had not done any before that, this was the first time I did it, but just wondered if such short bursts are not recommended or if this was just bad luck in terms of timing ? Are there minimum recommendations?

pacemaker Looking back, I see you also posted about unexpected calibrations at around this time last year.
Were you using a timer to trigger the export, or were you using the app to start and stop the discharge (assuming it still has that feature ?)
At one time there was a theory that unexpected calibrations could happen due to corruption in requests to the inverter. (Which is why it would make a difference whether you scheduled in advance or started it immediately.) Not sure if that's still the case.

yeah, I had them a year ago but that was because I had set GivTCP to poll too often, once I reduced that it settled down.

For the export request I was making a call to the GivTCP rest API to set the discharge schedule, then set the mode to Timed Export. Nothing fancy I dont think, something that Predbat seems to do often multiple times a day/night. It may just have been a chance occasion that calibration happened there and then... I was also still on my OG firmware (3007 and old inverter firmware) so I took this opportunity to update too once the battery was fully exhausted.

I am stuck now at 4% though. The battery didn't recharge and its no longer in calibration - it seemed to stop (before I updated firmware) at 0% and didnt recharge. After I updated the firmware it took it back to 4% on a very slow charge (230 W), now it's stopped again. Assume I just tell it to charge at some point....
