My battery is not being discharged to cover baseload overnight. Even when charged to 100% when I go to bed, the battery stays full all night and the baseload is covered by the grid. My inverter is in eco mode, and I have no other settings (all default).

Have I missed someting? Surely that's the whole point of the battery?

knox201 if eco is enabled and other modes disabled, check that the battery charge and discharge rates are set to max (in battery options on web portal)

knox201 whole point of the battery

Yes, if that's what you want, which most people do. From the web portal (Inverter-Settings), it's possible that the line indicating the operating mode appears next to ECO and the slider to the right indicates "Enabled" but that hasn't been submitted. Try clicking the Submit button and the refreshing/reloading the page. If that doesn't cause the battery to discharge to meet house load (switch a kettle on or something to raise house demand above the PV output to test), then try clicking the Reset to Defaults button and re-test.

If that doesn't work, call your installer or Givenergy themselves and ask them to look at it. My inverters are working continuously to supply house load from PV or battery as long as there is energy available from either to keep grid import below 1kWh/day, and have been since they were installed in January.

Mine was doing this on the first morning after installation. The battery went through its discharge / charge cycle as part of the commissioning and then the next day it wasn't supply power to the house. I restarted the inverter using the button on the web dashboard and it started working properly.
