multiple power outages / EPS failed to kick in

We had multiple brief power outages last night (c. 2am) with the system in EPS mode (ie manual switch in EPS position)
My son says that he experience 2 brief outages of a few seconds then an outage for an hour (when he woke me and I flicked the switch from EPS mode to Grid mode!) Clearly if the EPS was working he shouldn't have seen anything.

For context we have 3ph 20kw inverter with supposed 10ms EPS and batteries which were force charging and at about 80%.

  • It would be interesting to know if the first event was handled by the EPS and then subsequent events caused the problem - any idea how I can tell that?
  • My son experienced 2 off/on events so the EPS failed to kick-in but did come back when the grid returned before
  • On the next event the grid came back but the inverter failed to - why?

I can't see any notifications. I can just see the data missing after 0155 returning 0252 when I flicked the manual switch.
The EPS data surprised me - I have constant data showing for the past few days (I assumed it would only show data when actually activated?) I can't find any other data of use.

Any thoughts/ideas appreciated.

Cheers
Ian

forgot to mention ... this also triggered 1.7kwh of erroneous PV generation when the meters came back ... LOL

Just an update that my neighbour - who gets notifications of grid outages etc (not GivEnergy) - had no issues which suggests it was either my inverter/EPS playing up, or not all 3 phases of our supply (I have 3 and he only has 1 phase).

I've left my system in Grid mode ie no EPS... which is a bit rubbish since this was a big reason for buying this system to have <10ms changeover... hey ho!
