I am wanting to set my battery to charge and discharge. Does Timed Export mean the same as Discharge and Timed Charge is the same as charge? I live in Victoria Australia

Angove probably. Timed Export will discharge the battery at a fixed (usually max, but can be configured) power, which usually results in the excess being exported to the grid. Timed charge will charge the battery at (up to, depending on temperature and SoC) a fixed power, which usually means importing from grid.

At other times, the default behaviour (on eco) is to dynamically charge/discharge the battery to cover consumption / consume excess solar, to try to keep grid activity at miniumum.

A timed charge during the day on a hybrid inverter will take some of the power from excess solar, rather than the grid.

Timed Discharge is something quite different, and usually useful only in limit circumstances, eg to preserve battery for use during an interval of peak rate, though there may be other ways to do that.
