This week's release notes said we're pleased to announce that we've officially released the GivEnergy Alexa skill into public beta! Currently the skill is still undergoing some vetting/verification by Amazon, but we expect it will be live in a couple of days."
I don't seem to be able to find the skill using the Alexa app on my phone. Am I looking in the right place?
Or is it just that Amazon are taking longer than hoped to verify the Skill?
Hairsy I’ve been looking for it as well, but it’s not there yet.

I keep checking too. It worked as part of the beta test, and I'm surprised that that skill was removed before the official release is verified....

I too have been waiting for the public release following the announcement in 'Whats New' 11 July; Ive checked again today and still cannot find the Alexa Skill. Anyone know why it's taking so long to finalise / release?
Ge did announce on the "what's new" section that it wasn't ready and would take a while to release.
To quote:
"A couple of weeks ago we spoke about releasing the GivEnergy Alexa skill. Unfortunately we ran into a few problems during the release process which have caused some delays. We're working on getting the skill live as soon as possible and will talk about it more in a future what's new post. Apologies for the delay!"
What has happened to the Alexa skill?
I initially thought that communication via this forum and the ‘what’s new’ announcements was really good but I’m feeling a lack of information on this subject.
It’s not great to announce features are arriving in a couple of days and then nothing happens for weeks.
As our company has grown, hurdles have come into the way of general GDPR practices and merging with other releases. Internally, we are sorting this out and the skill will be coming out. Apologies if there's been miscommunication in this process
It's all gone very quiet recently! I found the beta test of the Alexa skill very handy, and would like it to be back as soon as possible!
Also gone quiet on the smart plugs, but that's for another thread......

I started writing an Alexa skill before finding out there was an official one coming. If anyone would like access to my version (it's pretty basic), send me an email, mark {at} smartathome {dot} co {dot} uk, and I think I can add you as a beta tester.
