I had my solar panels, battery and inverter installed by Energy Systems Scotland of Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders last summer. Now I want to add an EV charger to the set-up. Unfortunately all attempts to contact them have drawn a blank. Phone lines are dead and their website is no longer there.
Does anyone know what had happened to them, as they were very friendly and efficient? Alternatively, please can someone recommend an installer who would be able to add an appropriate EV charger to my GivEnergy installation.
Many thanks in advance.

jonnycrh what sort of inverter do you have? If you have an AIO then I believe there is some integration between the gateway and the EV charger, if its any other inverter then I think you don’t need to use a givenergy installer, just get any electrician to fit it. Make sure they understand about the home storage batteries and where the CT clamps are installed to prevent your battery discharging into the EV.

Lots of choice of EV chargers, I would get one that is compatible with Octopus Intelligent Go even if you don’t get that tariff to give you future flexibility (this rules out the Givenergy EV chargers)
