Hi. My inverter is set to "no automation" in the app but Giv is still changing the charge and discharge times throughout the day. Does anyone know what I need to do to stop it?
smart tariff automation
PeteF I'm not sure where in the app you'd set up automations - I can't immediately see anything that looks like that. One possibility is perhaps winter battery conditioning, if your battery is somewhere particularly cold?
On the web portal, the dashboard does have some smart tariff support, which could be doing this. But I've never used that. (Perhaps if I was to set it up on the web portal, the app would show it ?)

I don't use this feature, but, I did play around with it and I noticed that it started making changes to the inverter settings that I wouldn't expect. In the end, I disabled the smart tariff card and then everything went back to normal.
I would certainly check that card and disable it if needed
Ah - found it in the app now. Seems to offer me two versions, one legacy. I assume you've checked both.
yes, checked both. I guess I'll have to remove the smart tariff card. Thanks for the advice everyone.
PeteF Just out of interest, which tariff are you on, and is the smart tariff feature actually making sensible changes, or just being silly ?
I'm on Octopus Agile (half hourly variable) and yes, the changes do generally make sense but there are times when I want to override them. I can do that, but then the system makes changes after my override. It's not really a big deal, just irritating.
