Does anyone with an EMS installed have any experience with EPS
My reason for asking..
My original install before my EMS was installed last year was 1 AC3 inverter + 2 x 9.5kWh batteries with whole house EPS which I tested once for a short period and all appeared to work ok (3000w MAX load)
When my EMS was installed last year my new 2nd AC3 was setup with just a double socket for EPS leaving my original AC3 with 1 batterry for whole house EPS
Well that got tested the day before yesterday when we had a power cut and neither worked
EMS with EPS

Graham_Harrison I might be wrong, Michael G2 on the other forum can confirm, but the EMS makes the AC3's effectively dumb devices. I was sent 2 possible wiring diagrams to use 1 AC3 for EPS, just looking for them. Not sure if the limit would be 1 AC3
THALL I've spoken to Michael in the past when we had problems getting my EMS working correctly and I've posted on that forum too.
I'm aware of how the EMS works it just the EPS side that is currently baffling me

Graham_Harrison Has EPS been disabled on the inverter settings?
THALL I enable EPS on both inverters the other day and I've JUST finished carrying out another trial with some success from inverter #2 which is just a double socket but nothing from inverter #1 which is whole house.
After switching back to the grid and turning everything back on I logged into the portal inverter settings again and found that inverter #1 was "OFF" which is very strange, so I've enabled it again and just going to do another trial
Does any inverter feed the other when in EPS mode. If that is the case maybe it does not know grid is off and so it does not go into islanding mode. Do you have a schematic of how it is all wired
SteveCook I did another trial with success (to a point) with both inverters.
I need to do some more trials and make notes so I can write it up accurately but in a nutshell if I power my EMS with a 5v UPS (phone battery power bank) and I isolate the grid I can have my whole house EPS from inverter #1 and a double socket from inverter #2 working but if the EMS looses power at any point and then its reinstated I cannot get the EPS from inverter #1 working again (not sure about inverter #2)
