93 Octo points per kilowatt saved

Hi. Please state what regions this covers, because it doesn't appear to be happening in the Midlands where I am. 🙁
East Midlands
Roy124 Peanuts now

TimI do they still count any export during this time as a saving?
Jase1703 no idea. How do they know what I save?
I guess they compare today with recent use. As far as battery is concerned, battery usage today (given good solar) may reduce my usage later. I have 4 kW available which i need to conserve into that period, tricky.
Jase1703 I believe they do, cos its "change in usage" vs your average over the last 10 days. So if you weren't exporting and push, that should count as a change.
Roy124 They look at whats coming through the meter, in and out - and a difference compared to average over the last 10 (I believe) days
Zero point in taking part - and definitely not on Agile where we're at 49p import and 29.3p AVERAGE import for the day.
Time to switch I think.
Vestas i opted for a 12 month Cosy Fix last October. Not only is my tariff fixed but the restructure on the 1st April will see a significant drop too - win win

We are on flux but it seems pointless after 19:00 as the base export is too low then.
Roy124 I don't have a heat pump or EV, nor do I have a massive PV array so Agile is the only game in town on Octopus unless I lie about the EV,
Probably going to drop to SVR on 1 April then look elsewhere.
No good for me as battery is unusable currently
Roy124 Likewise I am 12 month Cosy fix from last October, I had planned on going back to Agile for the summer and paying the £25 exit fee. Summer on Agile is what I did last year, I can pretty much run on batteries and solar alone, so the only import I would do is when the Agile rates are cheap, but at the moment absolutely not going to do that.
By turning the heat pump off, it’s not particularly cold tonight, I did have a bit of spare capacity and exported 2.8kWh in the saving session. Not going to make me rich for sure.

Yes it’s a pity there isn’t any decent solar/battery tariffs around. Flux used to be the one but rates are pants now, Intelligent Octopus Flux is still worth considering although it’s currently closed for registrations.
Depends on your daily consumption and battery size, but Economy 7 could be worth it?
geoffreycoan E7 isn't a tariff Octopus normally offer to customers - you have to force them to offer it. Anyway that's dreadful rates too. Octopus are only interested in heat pump/EV owners which is of course their choice but that's the reality of the situation.
Time to go elsewhere.
Vestas Let us know what you find
Puzzles me how they suddenly need a saving like that and the time as late.
Well I never.. we saved 0.25kWh....

wrighar have you thought about what you're going to spend it on 🤔
wrighar Last couple of times I tried, the streamlit app wasn’t working, but looks like it is again now.
I won!

33p DFS payment plus 33p export income
I’d have had to then import that 2.79kWh at 14p in the Cosy cheap period so costing 39p import
No idea what i shall get. 93 points per kW is what 11.6p? At least this time, with a full battery, I might get a bit more.

I didn’t even bother enrolling in it and I’ve cancelled my predbat integration.
I’m also worried that being enrolled in Axle as well may cause issues. That seems to be working well.
