Cells stuck on 100%

I’ve had the Inverter App for a few weeks now which has given me insight that I never had before. One thing I’ve noticed is that I have a couple of cells that are permanently showing 100% charge. On my 8.2 battery it’s Cell 5, and on the 9.5 it’s Cell 12
Is this something I should worry about, and is there anything I can do about it?

ChrisRowe I'm afraid you're misinterpreting... 100% isn't the level of charge, it's some measure of cell performance, and they're all reported relative to the best cell. So everyone has the best cell reported as 100%.

ChrisRowe One of the temperature readings on the first battery is quite high. No idea what it means, but it's interesting... Might just be an anomalous reading.

DD When the first battery was installed in Dec 2021 it required a visit from an GE engineer to get it working. (It was easier in those days!) He commented that one of the temperature readings was high, but not to worry, it was probably a dodgy sensor and they would monitor it remotely. Obviously, I never heard from them again, but it’s worked ok since then!

DD Thanks for this, yes, I had totally misinterpreted!

The correct answer that the percentages are RELATIVE has already been given.

An implication of this is that if the percentage goes up (over time) it does not mean the cell has improved, more likely that other cells have deteriorated.

In the case of my own battery, cell 7 was down to 68% last year. Now it is at 73%, and cell 4 at 70% is now the lowest. I take this as a good indication that the cells are just ageing at different rates, no need to panic (yet)!
