I have read the posts and struggled to get a "home" connection from the IOS app to the AIO2 hardware without success. The Wi-Fi unit in the battery has a WR prefix and the Gateway is WN and neither appear in the documantation I have found. My home Wi-Fi connection is strong and in my eero6 software I can see the WN... module showing with its full serial number and IP address but I cannot connect to it either via the app or the Inverter BBC app. The other Wi-Fi unit (in the battery) doesn't show in the eero app. The info in the forum suggests I should be trying to connect to the Gateway router and CoPilot is adamant that the dashboard info is handled by the battery Wi-Fi unit. In the GivEnergy app, in settings/local monitoring, when I search for "inverters" either manually or automatically it finds none. I notice that GivEnergy use the tern "inverter" to apply to almost any piece of equipment whereas to me it should apply to my actual inverter made by SolarEdge...
So can anyone clear up my confusion and tell me which is the unit I need to try to connect to?
And if I choose a ethernet cable connection which unit do I take it from to connect to my network?
With thanks in hopeful expectation, Richard
AIO2 and Gateway Wi-Fi connection

AIO2 is u likely to be supported in 'Home' mode on the native givenergy app (the old aio took about 6 months if not longer before it got support)
I doubt BBC basic supports it yet either, I suspect neither does the Inverter App - I think GivTCP sort of supports it but there are some bugs?
Ignore Ai - it has spouted some utter nonsense about Givenergy Local connections lately as it doesn't actually know what it's talking about but just wants to appear like it does. I've corrected several of its theories recently.
hoggy Thanks for looking at this; when it was commissioned it did work fine on Home for a few days then the battery tripped at the gateway and either that or a router reboot knocked out the Wi-Wi, so it can work. I guess you are right about the AI, I had a good argument with it but it can be quite stubbornly stupid!
RichardJ have you tried turning your 5GHz network off and connecting your phone/tablet to the 2.4 network to see if you can get local mode to work? All previous givenergy devices only worked on 2.4GHz and maybe your router isn’t blending the 5 and 2.4 together properly - you can only connect in home mode if you are on the same local network.
geoffreycoan Yes, the eero has an option to Pause 5GHz for 20 mins and it shows in the system to be connected to 2.4Ghz.
I also checked that the outgoing traffic can get out (but not in) on port 7654 which the documentation says is the port the battery data gets to the GivEnergy servers.
Update; I got brave and removed some covers looking for reset buttons and LAN sockets
I cannot find any Wi-Fi reset buttons on either the Battery of the Gateway. They are don't seem to be documented in the manual at
AIO2 and gateway manual
I connected the LAN socket labelled "K" on page 43 of the above manual to the ethernet socket on my eero 6 (via a long cable via an open window so not ideal) and in the GivEnergy app on my iPhone after went to Settings / Local Monitoring / IP Addresses+ and added the IP address shown in the eero app and pressed "scan for inverter". After some fiddling, about 5 minutes later the GivEnergy app on my iPhone started connecting vis Home. I see this as quite a big win as it is a step forwards for monitoring during a power cut.
But the Inverter BBC app is not connecting.
Lessons learnt:
A LAN connection from the battery does give access to the Home portal in lieu of Wi-Fi
The portal runs off the the battery, not the gateway
But until I can reset the Wi-Fi I can't get it going as I don't have the passwords
If you inherited the system have you tried the inverter serial number? If that doesn't work and it was a house purchase it wouldn't be unreasonable to ask the vendors for the password via the estate agent.
Oddly, the AIO2 documentation says it defaults to 4G comms above Wifi.

Yes if it loses WiFi it drops to 4G. I’m of the understanding they can push WiFi creds to it this way also (presumably learning from the often unintuitive old dongle methods)
pwdst New install, WiFi dropped after a week.
The installer came around yesterday and could not log in via WiFi with his installer account. GivEnergy installation support engineer adamant that the WiFi connection was working as he could see my system. When I said he was probably seeing my system via the 4G not WiFi he did not seem to get it. I wish I had disconnected the broadband cable to test it. Anyway he sent me a new password that seemed to let me Log onto the Access point in the AIO2 but then trying 10.10.100.254 just could not find a username / password combo that would let me in. And everyone off for Easter now.
Also apparently the blue button at the top of the Gateway panel behind the door is a WiFi reset button (for just Gateway or AIO2 as well?) but the support man didn't want me to reset it in case it prevented him accessing the system!
On your router, look for the System log to find the device IP addresses but the AIO device name is HF210 (or similar) and NOT the dongle serial number. System log is to be in the Status tab somewhere.
I found out simply restarting your router will force all devices including AIO and gateway to "reset" their network connections including checking IP address lease assuming you are using DHCP on router rather than fixing every IP address.
