Power Cut - AIO 1-2 Minute Delay

Hi there,

Probably a topic as old as time. I can't say I've noticed this before and most likely due to not having any power cuts but in the last month or so I have had grid faults that cut power for an extended period of time and both times the power in the house, whilst using battery, cuts power when the fault happens and then boots back up after 1-2 minutes.

I've assuming this is a EPS misconfiguration or something as my assumption was the AIO 13.5 I have would be a UPS.

Can anyone shed any light on the situation with some up to date current knowledge. Not sure this is the best time to contact support.

Cheers

Hey Josh, do you have the GivGateway installed also or Just the AIO?

Just the AIO is battery only and no EPS (battery backup) if the grid goes out.

I had a similar issue even with the GivGateway, turns out on my GivGateway the Grid Bypass Switch was in the wrong position, left by the installer.

Skull Yeah, I have the Gateway. Not sure if this is something as simple as a N-PE toggle. I don't think I've ever used the UPS in anger or noticed this before so maybe a firmware update has changed a toggle or I've just never had power cuts in the last 2-3 years.

Josh I could also depend on when this happens, the SoC of the battery and whethere excess solar is being produced. If this is the case, the whole system shuts down for a short period of time to allow for the inverter to switch off. I think you need no higher than 80% SoC to prevent the system powering down in this scenario.

Also, have you checked to see if the 20ms cut-over has been set (in the logs)

CW When this last happened it was around 19:00 so little or no solar would be generating and the SoC would have been around 99%.

How does one go about seeing that 20ms cut-over in logs?

Thanks for your help!

Josh Check the inverter (AIO) logs via the portal and remote control section. The register you need is

I tend to download the entire logs end then search in excel (seems easier to me) - if this is not set your installer can do it (interestingly this is not set as a default!!)

CW Strangely the earliest log is a couple months after install annoyingly. Will This would have been Oct/Nov 2023. Maybe there is a limit to how many entries there can be.

Will try support when able...fingers crossed!

Josh Your installer would be able to do this remotely
