Just had an 8.2kwh battery installed alongside my 5.6kwh hybrid inverter.
I’m puzzled because the battery is saying its at 100%, yet has only had a charge of 3.5kwh…surely it should have 8.2kwh stored.?
It could be I don’t understand the minimalist graphics in the app, as to me, they seem devoid of useful data.

lightningad Sit tight! The batteries are sent out with about 50% charge in them. It will need to fully discharge and then recharge to calibrate the State of Charge parameter. It'll probably do this over the next 24 hours or so. It's a shame installers don't explain this to customers as it can be quite disconcerting.
Your installer can initiate the discharge/charge cycle if you speak to them.

@Tim I'm not sure the installers can initiate the calibration cycle. At least, mine (2weeks ago) said that they had to inform GE and GE will do what is necessary. My installers only connected it, checked that it is on the system... and left.
Anyway, it took something like 4 or 5hrs for the battery to start calibration from the time of connection. The process takes some time, so technically my battery was ready on the morning of the next day. And it still took another couple of days to get the correct "8.2kWh" displayed on the portal. Sorry, forgot to mention that my battery was initially recognised as 5.6 (or thereabouts)kWh.
So, @lightningad you need to have a look at your portal, click on "My Inverter" link and look for where it says "Battery Capacity". What does it say there?
"160 Ah | 8.19 kWh" - also checked the info sticker on the battery side panel. everything points to it being an8.2kwh unit, which is why i was concerned the results looked so much smaller.
Had a feeling it would need to run through a cycle or two before readings settled down.
thanks for confirming
