26Left I had assumed that rubikcube's forum was primarily intended for discussion about his monitor app, rather than GivEnergy more generally. (Esp. given that the only category is the app one.) Though I guess mentioning it the NEW HOPE HOME thread might indicate wider coverage.

i tried on discourse, it should be a good option but we would need active help from the community and also some corpus to pay the monthly fees as free tier would not be sufficient (only 2 mods allowed)

I have asked GivEnergy Software about the future if the Community facility and which tier it would sit under if it remained avsilable. I am assuming it would be a premium featurd but I don't know for sure.
At least then we know whether or not we need a new home (I quite like this one though I suspect not for much longer).
If eviction ensures, my preference would be the renewable energy hub, where it is very gicilised and knowledgeable.
I’ve put my votes in. Personally I think we need a proper forum with separate topics and threads, things like telegram and whatsapp are good for general chats but trying for example to help someone sort out their non charging system in amongst posts on say predbat would be impossible to keep on topof

Shhh ... they don't know we are here!
There is no moderation presence here any longer. The only (former) staff member that seems to know about us is the Dragon. If the portal stays up, this community will probably just keep going unnoticed.
Maybe they'll keep this forum running as I can't imagine it uses much bandwidth/cpu/storage compared to the GE Portal and their own office/mail needs, and probably doesn't need much moderation (we're a pretty sensible lot on the whole). It wouldn't surprise me if it became part of the £4.99/month Premium Tier though. Be interesting to see what they say, if they even know themselves yet.

And even within the existing forum we see threads that replicate discussions in other threads. It's an absolute mare.
