I've had the system in place a couple of months now: 9.75kWh array, 2x3.6 Inverters and 2x 8.2 batteries. None of the data on the GE Portal makes any sense at all. Values are either zero or 500kW for any given day. I've scheduled a daily report and that looks like it could be a useful document but again is just nonsense. Any ideas? The tariff is correctly set at 18.2 ppkw.!
Why are all my numbers nonsense
A call to your installers or GE support is needed, as obviously your metering is not functioning correctly.
I think it is related to two inverters installed on site which is not supported yet.
I have the same situation, after installing second inverter, the numbers doesn't make sense.
I have spoken to GE support and they said that they working on the solution similar to coupled plant.
MarcinG DT42 We've got two HY5s and the portal data looks there or there about for us except that house load on the top summary banner is only displaying values from one inverter and the Energy Flow chart in the reports just don't add up. We can see what looks like a full set of data for both inverters separately, it's just the portal summary that doesn't add up.
This is exactly correct, this is an outstanding issue being looked into regarding dual inverters. Support for the energy values will be in place at EOP this year we are currently hoping

Hi,
Can you please provide your username so I can take a look into why your report has generated with these figures?
Adam-Reynolds outstanding issue being looked into regarding dual inverters
Is there an "Outstanding issues" list where we can see if a glitch is in hand for fixing? I'm sure traffic on this forum would be reduced if such a list was visible. Thanks

Tim there is a known issues section in the app, if you go to the menu then Leave Feedback it's under there. Only two things in there currently so I don't believe it's up to date
Sam D (GivEnergy) HI Sam, it's dthrower
Hi, I also have two 8.2kW.h batteries, each with its own AC3.0 inverter, which I was told was a legitimate configuration. They have been in for just under a week but many of the values we are seeing on the app/web portal are crazy. I'm not sure if this is because of an issue with the installation (CT sensor in wrong place?) or if it is all a function of the GE data crunching. For example (for the web portal):
Different panes show different values, at the same time. e.g. I might see both Importing and Exporting at the same time.
Some part of the charging power (on one battery I think) gets added to the consumption power, so consumption is often showing far too high.
Today Total values are far too high. For example, already today it is showing Generation Today=114.50kW.h.
Finally, import and export values from the grid are shown with pleasingly low values (<40W), but when I measure the actual current in the meter box (with a proper AC clamp meter) I see that about 200W (which could be either coming in or going out).
I have yet to speak to my installer about this....

Chris, I have the same set-up as you.
I've had pants data since install last Sep.
I don't even bother to look at the data any more, as it's nonsense (or was last time I actually looked).
I'm experiencing all kinds of issues with the 'plant' set-up; I even hear the awfully annoying music playing whilst waiting 20 minutes for tech support, in my dreams, now!!
I'm afraid that, with so many issues, and the long-awaited, long-promised inverter firmware still being nowhere to be seen, that I can no longer recommend the GE kit to anyone who's considering an install. Too much guinea pig syndrome; in the time it's taking to design the new firmware to patch up the numerous problems (close to a year or more, now?), a decent company would be able to design a complete new package.
I still like my kit, but, with the wasted time on each call to tech support - trying to get through - along with the hours spent nurturing it along to make it perform the way I want it to (and monitor it, in case it goes bonkers again) it's really no longer what I'd refer to as user-friendly.
GE are rapidly getting more & more bad reports around the bazaars, and unless they concentrate on sorting the existing issues, rather than putting their efforts into developing new products, I fear they're going to suffer a massive drop in popularity/confidence, and therefore sales, and I for one, don't want to see that happen. They're fundamentally a great company, with some great products; they just need to ensure that everything works properly, before they ask folk to hand over their hard-earned cash for their kit.
