I asked GivSoftware and they confirmed that the web portal will be part of premium and not free. I didn't know if the devices had a local web server, which is why I asked the question (also because I don't remember reading anything about the web portal in their FAQs).

The only webpages on the device are for configuring the WiFi dongle to connect to your network.
Both app and web portal will be chargeable, albeit the official app apparently now has a local only mode that does not use Cloud infrastructure. There are also third party apps and tools.
I guess this forum will also go premium since you have to log intpo the web portal to get here. Or is there a direct link that bypasses the web portal?

The credentials for this forum are entirely different to portal credentials and it has already been stated that the forum will remain free. Obviously it will only remain online as long as they are trading so you are relying on enough people opting in to payments to keep them going.

It's on the same domain as the web portal (givenergy.cloud) so just wondered.
The domain and top level domain are the same, but it is on a different subdomain (community).
@pwdst I was just sharing it on the forum because I don't recall seeing the web portal being explicitly called out anywhere before.
