I have had the green flashing light with the 3 arms on the inverter showing blue.
My battery is not charging or discharging.
I have also lost any data on the Giv Energy App- it shows nothing now.
I tried resetting dongle but I can’t get it to go through the full cycle-it goes so far then hangs.
I bought an access point- TPLink AC 1350 to improve the Wi-Fi but I can’t get it to connect.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Inverter not Communicating
Bobby123 I bought an access point- TPLink AC 1350
That's dual-band. Return it for a refund if possible.
I have tried updating the dongle by holding its button in and getting the Wi-Fi network up ok.
The next stage seems to be to Giv Energy installer to update Wi-Fi details but when I hit the appropriate link I get a screen asking me to allow camera and Bluetooth access-if i do that and try and move forwards I then end up back and the front screen asking to update wi-if details.
I am in a loop !!
I would add a picture but the add an image icon below does not appear to work.
Anyone able to help?![
I would connect using a laptop or tablet to the built in Access Point of the dongle and follow setup instructions per the GivEnergy WiFi setup guide in a browser. The installer app isn't helpful.
If you only have a phone you can use that but (temporarily) disable mobile data.
Remember to add a password both to the dongle and the WiFi Access Point it creates. For the latter convention is the Inverter serial number.
Is the access point connected via wi-fi or are you suggesting an Ethernet cable?
If a cable where is the port.
My AC coupled inverter does not seem to have an RJ45 on it unless there is one internally.
None of the instructions mention any kind of cable. You don't need a cable, you don't need to press buttons, you don't need any app. Just follow the instructions.

The Access Point is built into the dongle itself.
