This is not company mismanagement, it is out and out sharp practice and dishonesty by the top level ownership!

I don't think companies in administration are able to acquire other companies, not least because the administrators are in charge and seeking to maximise the assets that can be released to pay creditors - not spend what is left.
It would be especially odd in the context of this filing from Companies House -
Cessation of Givenergy Software Limited as a person with significant control on 12 December 2025
It does say
"Orange Power will now become a standalone entity within the GivEnergy Software division"
Givenergy Software is the company running the web portal. It is not in administration.
(Although if they don't get enough subscribers paying for the premium portal offering, then who knows!)

But GivEnergy Group can still acquire new companies and merge them into the Group structure, its the UK (and Australian) companies that are in administration not the whole group
Brassy According to their accounts for year ended 2024 they paid circa £342k for Orange Power on 7 Oct 2024.
And, i'm no accountant but their numbers i don't think look that good. In that year the report says they averaged 29 staff. Now i think it's down to 3.

Buying property/companies in E&W is a complete shitshow but its not that bad!
Also I doubt Jason Howlett would be commenting as he was sacked back in 2024/early 2025.
