I have a 'plant' of 2 X 8.2, each with its own AC3.0 inverter.
I also have an EPS, which utilises a manual changeover switch, to disconnect the grid, and allow me to run of the ESS.
It's been working [fairly] successfully for about 3 years.
During a recent power cut, the inverter 'round' lights (normally green ring) were red, and despite a lot of effort, I couldn't get either of them back on line. I assumed it was a system problem, and tried many times to shut everything down, and re-start - including the batteries and the inverters - but to no avail.
When the grid power was finally restored, everything started up correctly.
However... one of the batteries had 'forgotten' it's SoC of around 80% or so when the power cut occured, and has since 'lost' pretty much all of its capacity. It'll start at 100%, but if it discharges @ EG 1kW for just a few minutes, it's down at 6%; if I charge it back up at 3kW, it'll be back up at 100% within a few mins.
I've tried a very slow discharge, followed by a very slow charge, but to no avail.
I'm tempted to try a calibration, but am concerned that it could just make things [even] worse.
The other battery/inverter combo is working as normal.
I tried sending GE a report, and got a ticket number back, but then of course things went Pete Tong, so I assume there'll be no more help from that direction....
Any bright ideas, or has anyone had a similar issue.Folks
