Bricked my Gateway v1 Wifi card

any nobody know where i can get a replacement wifi card for a V 1 gateway or know how to recover a bricked one ? As mine has always just continuedly rebooted and now dosen't show any wifi SSID or report a MAC address on the lan port either.

tradesparky used to sell them, do a google search for givenergy wifi dongle

you will need to copy the MSN.TXT file off your old dongle onto the new one. See previous topics on this

How did you brick it? Did you attempt some kind of firmware update?
Typical recovery procedure is to back up the MSN.TXT, reformat the filesystem, and put back the MSN.TXT

rob c actually I just realised you said it was a wifi card in a gen 1 gateway. I guess that is different to the dongle that the older inverters use

you could connect your gateway by ethernet cable instead?

If need be sit a powerline or wifi extender node near the gateway to give you the physical ethernet connection

thanks for your thoughts, sadly neither the wifi or Lan are seemly to be functional. The card was so unstable continuity rebooting I hoped a firmware update would resolve the stability but sadly it did like it..
yes i bricked it i think.
