I’ve “upgraded” to the new app, and whilst I’m at home and on my local network I cannot access power graphs or any of the basic functionality from the app, it just tells me I need to pay. I thought that local functionality was to remain unchanged?
Secondly, I see that a good third of the screen is now replaced with this scheduling system option across the bottom. I presume this is another change to replace the Eco/Charge/Discharge/Pause quick links? Ie, I need to reprogram it with my overnight charge window else it won’t charge overnight?
Sound about right?

I think it should still be there. If you toggle the 'connect to cloud servers' button and 'open inverter settings' it takes you to an old app page which will confirm.....

As soon as I click the cloud settings button, it takes you to the “f*** you pay me” screen.
I’ve tried setting the schedule in the bar at the bottom but it reverts back to a default of 24 hours of “use” when I reopen the app (after it says “reading from inverter”.
The webpage shows the right settings, I just don’t know why it’s not reflecting that in the bar at the bottom…

'Buy', 'Sell', 'Use' settings have been copied over exactly from the old app. If it works, I rather like it.

mikes01666 Yea, I have no problems with the concept. Just unsure why it isn’t showing the Buy slots that the inverter is programmed to…

You may need to clear your app cache and data and click on Offline mode after you have done that.

pwdst I’m on iPhone, I have neither a clear cache/data option, or an Offline Mode button.

Uninstall and reinstall the app then. I am not sure how the app store works on iOS but I understand such options exist even if they are perhaps called something else.
For clarity this is the app configuration on your phone and not within the app itself.
The email from GivEnergy recommended that people uninstalled and reinstalled the app which should have the same effect and is certainly an easier instruction for people to follow given the different brands and software versions out there.

Ahh, my apologies, I’d assumed from the confident way you were putting this advice in to every thread that you knew the advice you were giving was correct.
That was on me.
I’ve already reinstalled the app, but still the bar at the bottom shows “Use” the entire way across, despite the registers showing otherwise.
I guess in an absence of any other accurate info I’ll just need to wait until tonight to see what it does.

I'm on octopus intelligent go and my givenERGY was set up to charge the battery from 11:30pm to 5.30am. Don't know what's going to happen if I'm not paying for subscription.

This is the advice that GivEnergy Software themselves were giving and also that helped lots of people when the forced SSO migration broke lots of people's apps. You are the first person to say it hasn't helped.
I am sorry that not owning or using an iPhone offends you.
I do not work for GivEnergy nor get paid to try and help people so from now on I will follow your good advice and leave people to work it out for themselves.

DocD I think I’m only going to find out at 11:30 tonight when it either does or doesn’t charge my battery on schedule.

DocD I think you will be ok - I use Rubicks monitor so can see the settings and they are still as before (timed charge overnight). I am not an export but as I understand it, these settings are held locally within the inverter and the app or cloud just sends the relevent commands to the inverter to update the settings

I had a composite dashboard until the “F U and pay” upgrade today. I now have four separate “inverters” to select, the PV inverter, the Gateway inverter and my two AIO unit’s inverters.
I’ve had a drill down on some of the gateway settings and have managed to find the charge start/end times and discharge start/end times, together with the change to % and discharge to %.
Everything seems to be set and saved but if I ever have to change anything it will be interesting.
I can’t find any software support contact email address or telephone number, so not sure I want to pay £4.99/month for the opportunity to find out if anything is still configured.
Legacy Tariff? No sign of that stuff on “Local”!
