Hiding features we already had behind a paywall is not acceptable.

Unrelatedly I happen to be moving house in about 2 months. Have started the process for DNO approval to fit solar panels.
Relatedly givenergy will now not get my business for new battery storage. Anyone got any suggestions?

MikeWilliams GivEnergy are in administration and it is highly doubtful that you could fit new batteries or inverters even if you wanted to.
In the unlikely event that you could find any stock, it would be extremely difficult to find an installer willing to fit them, and even harder to commission them in the absense of support.

Also if you are selling your current property and have already provided warranty paperwork to your buyer's solicitor it is very likely you have a legal duty to disclose that warranty no longer exists.
