Hello, I still have a fault on my system, BMS error. I have 3 batteries and want to test each battery in turn on it own. How do I exclude two of them. Do I just shut the system down, unplug them and restart system? Or do they need to be configured in the software? cheers.
You need to dig out the installer manual and set the dip switch to master for each battery you test.
The first battery has to be set to master.
So if you are technically competent then disconnect and change the dip switch for each one you test.
The fact that you are asking on here would make me worried that you are not technically competent. Be careful and really make sure you know what you are getting into...

I would not say I am technically competent about PV systems but I am aware of the slave/ maser switches. I was just wondering if the software needs to know what batteries are connected or does it auto detect them on boot up?
With the correct settings on the address switch/s the battery/ies should be automatically detected.
