I’m on IOG. Every day I run the house and fully charge the batteries between 23.30 and 05.30.
Woke this morning to find the batteries at 4%.
On checking this was the log

04:30:25.838 Server AC Charge 1 Start Time Written Successfully 00:00 04:30 04:30 API - Inverter Settings - Smart Tariff
2026-05-28 00:00:18.346 Server AC Charge 1 End Time Written Successfully 05:30 04:30 04:30 API - Inverter Settings - Smart Tariff
2026-05-28 00:00:16.831 Server AC Charge 1 Start Time Written Successfully 23:30 00:00 00:00 API - Inverter Settings - Smart Tariff
2026

Settings changed to 04.30 to 04.40. WTF
SMART TARIFF. Dumb I would say. Can anyone give me an explanation as to how this happened. Have I changed something without knowing or what. Thanks

Richy999 are you signed up to premium and/or Axle ? Have you turned on the smart scheduling slider on the new app?

The smart tariff is configured in the givenergy portal. It looks like it is configured wrongly or is not working correctly.

Check that you have configured your tariff details correctly.

Or just turn the smart tariff functionality off in the portal

This is a premium service from givenergy, nothing to do with axle

geoffreycoan premium but not Axle

Smart tariff is off but I entered the relevant times under smart tariff legacy. Just wished they’d left it all alone.

If you are on IOG are they controlling your inverter remotely

#7 Maxwell

@Richy999 As a premium customer this sounds like a good test of how much support you get from GE software. Email them and see how long it takes them to respond/fix.

SteveCook Yes, but Octopus do not control your inverter with IOG, only with IOF

Maxwell did so 6am. Now trying to recharge from the sun instead of selling back. One days export lost.

I’ve made sure smart schedule is off and timed charge is on from 23.30 until 05.30. Let’s hope nothing changes at midnight 😜

I think you might be better setting 2 charge slots.
23:30 to 23:59
00:01 to 05:30
or something like that.
I seem to remember having problems with slots spanning the 00:00 on the clock

I've had my system since 2023, 14 panels, SW facing. Hybrid Inverter 5.0, gen 3 & 5.2 kwh battery.
Other than a couple of failed pushed updates early on, which I stopped anymore. I've not had any real problems with the set up. I've been watching this forum for some time just to work out what would be my best option going forward.
I've always charged battery up overnight, then exported whatever is over generated from the panels.
This has reduced our energy bills a large amount each year.
I installed @Rubikcube app just after the administration announcement to be a worthwhile backstop.
A couple of days ago I signed up to Axle, very easy to do, & of course now have premium access to Givenergy app & portal. I've never changed any of my settings for battery top up overnight & nothing has changed, it gets charged between 00.30 & 05.30 each night.
I worry about the problems some of you have had doing the same thing, it's very puzzling.
I'm on Octopus go.
