If anyone cares, the Gateway sold for £50 (+VAT+buyers premium) = about £70
Hope to see something more useful (like batteries) up for auction soon.

Rubikcube just down the road from me. They quite often have liquidated stock in the Saturday sales.
Some stuff goes for more than retail and some is absolute junk
