Morning. Can anyone explain why I can only use 2 out 3 options. I charge from 00:30 - 5:30 (Grid) then solar and battery run my house until 4pm. From 4pm to 7pm we do a timed export to grid then revert back to the battery running the house until 00:30 when the next charge starts. If we have the timed charge and timed discharge enabled it turns off eco mode so the house is no longer fed from solar or battery between charge and discharge schedules. If I then enabled Eco mode it automatically turn off discharge schedule (4pm to 7pm). We are signed up to premium tier via Axle if this makes any difference. I am only using the portal and not the mobile app as they seem to conflict with each other. Thanks in advance for your help.
Scheduling issues

I have previously used “Timed Export” for the 16:00 - 19:00 grid export as for me this allows the battery to feed to house at that point if it is needed but if not then export to the grid. That has never resulted in eco mode being disabled.
But in the brave new world where I am now on the free ge trier I notice that in the portal in the inverter tab under settings that the “Timed Export” is not showing as enabled even though I can see it is enabled on the local connect he app and the bbc inverter app. So, something else has changed, unless these are settings that only premium users get to sync. But I believe there may also be some features where “Timed Discharge” and “Timed Export” may share some registers under the hood. There will be others on here who may know more about that subtlety.

There is a firmware limitation of gen-1 hybrid inverters that they will only export if eco is turned off. The portal knows this, and automatically turns off eco if you schedule a timed export, or turns off the timed export if you enable eco. (Or at least that's my understanding - I don't see this myself. I think it only does this if it believes you have a gen-1 system.)
You should be able to bypass the portal and set the registers as you want, but this won't help since its a feature of the inverter itself. AFAIK the only solution is a dynamic scheduler which adjusts the registers in real time (eg turns off eco at the start of the timed export period, and turns it back on afterwards). Most require either local hardware (I have a rpi which is running 24/7 anyway, and so can easily do this sort of thing), or a paid service using the API. Octopus R&D labs used to be a free option, I think, but some have reported that it no longer works.
Are you on an export tariff which rewards export from 4 to 7 (eg agile), or is that "just" to help the grid ? If the former, GE Premium probably offers smart tariff support which might do it. Or Axle offer a (free) full battery management version of their service. I've not used either.
The new GE app does have a slider for "smart battery scheduling". I've not tried turning it on, but maybe it would help. Would probably require the app is running at the time, since it's intended to be able to operate locally. Not much help if you go out. (If you try it, please report back on what it actually does !)
The portal and app shouldn't conflict.
