There seems to be a flurry every weekend of Givenergy dashboards being released.
I propose they are all put here in this thread and then entered into some form of death match - perhaps all launched at once to a single inverter to see which one wins.

I'll start (& no none of these are mine) in no particular order other than the order I scroll down to them on my Facebook feed (yes that's how many we now have)

Oh and no, don't go putting your details or ApI keys into any of those if they are cloud based. Maybe it's stored away securely, maybe it's just in a csv file anyone can get to...

Oh wow. I must have been asleep when hoggy started this thread. Surely it deserves more love than 5 replies. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's reinvented the wheel - several times - only to be thoroughly embarrassed when shown how talented folk use home automation and Python.
Has anyone built the fight arena? Has a victor emerged?

I think one of the challenges for folks is taking the time to get up to speed with setting each of them up and any associated configuration that goes with it and then doing a meaningful comparison. Although always good to have a play. Although some care is required as it can be easy to expose your set up to the internet. And there are no authentication when communicating with the inverter. And I’m not sure how much input validation there is when writing back to the inverter. Best to set this up on its own subnet with just the inverter and monitoring kit with access. Putting on the general house lan is more risky, again the devil is in the detail of how each of those monitoring solutions deal with security.
But is good to see that there are a bunch of folks who have the skills to quickly set these up.

BobB i will admit I did this as a bit of tongue in cheek at weekend vibe coders and I didn't really setup any parameters as such.
I guess it's kind of hard to define a true winner as I can only really test against the kit I have (G1, G2 and a Gateway) so some may play nicer than others.
They are also quite hard to pin down as unlike old days where there would be days/weeks between updates - provided your pockets are deep enough you can keep those tokens rolling and iterate through an awful lot of code changes in 24hrs!

hoggy You can do this locally - I have a Strix Halo box* (128GB RAM) which will run anything up to 120B models entirely on the graphics card. Qwen3 80B is pretty good.

*runs about the same as a DGX Spark but is native x86 rather than ARM

ectoplasmosis It's almost entirely dependent on how you script things - GIGO basically. If you supply crap "prompts" then you'll produce crap. People who can actually code (not "vibe") produce better work in a quicker timescale using AI models.

I use Qwen3 mainly for test harnesses & this is the area of software engineering which will be/is being devastated first. I can create test harnesses of equivalent/superior quality in hours rather than weeks and I don't need to cough up five figure sums for the test software suite I'd previously be using.

It is free with 5★ installers prioritized - but how do we know if our installer is a 5★ installer?

Is it a Givenergy rating? Is there a list? Is this a rating system that can still be applied for? (It's not talking about trustpilot).

Who knows, like most of these its very easy to get AI to build you a pretty website that is both well polished & also devoid of any actual useful information.
It looks like it all hinges on installers actually taking it up? Installers that still have access to the Giv portal to do all this stuff already...
