Thank you! This has been bugging me for the last week! Knew it had to be the app, but couldn't find it.

NormC To summarise, if you turn on the 'connect to cloud servers' toggle at the top, it might reveal that smart scheduling is enabled at the bottom, and that's what's messing with your settings. (But I guess it would still be polite to visit the video, to boost their views.)

I have had this problem like everyone else on this thread. I have now watched the video and am still really not sure if I have switched the right things on - or off - or on, then off again - or whatever. If GivEnergy did their job properly, videos made by bewildered customers wouldn't be needed.
Please, GivEnergy - this glitch just shouldn't be possible. Accept that the design of your app needs significant improvement in this area. It is not good or clear, no matter how much you might be congratulating yourselves on the update. Better explanation is needed - and keep it simple.

jonnycrh hello, I had the same issue. It was working fine and now it keeps disabling itself. Initially, I thought I was going mad and hadn’t saved the time slot but I have rechecked and I had saved it. GivEnergy need to review and provide fix especially as we are now paying for the premium services.

Update to my previous post:
Yup - that didn't work. The battery was charging from the grid for 1 hour, then not charging to the next hour, and then charging for the next hour - then nothing.
Honestly, GivEnergy - this is Southern Rail or Thames Water levels of incompetence and poor customer service. And while you are about it, why don't you answer my email from last week? And have someone on your customer support phone line - or are you too scared that I might shout at you?

jonnycrh Nobody from GE reads these forums nor have they done so for years. You are talking to yourself.

The only "support" is premium@givenergy.co.uk and all phone lines closed when GE Ltd went bust in April.

The free Richard Russell Inverter app gives free full control. It might show or allow you to change settings (I'm not sure what your settings are now).

When the Inverter is set to Discharge the battery doesn't charge from solar (or from the grid), and anything you generate and don't use during that time goes to the grid. So perhaps setting up a discharge schedule that regularly turns off discharge might help? Setting timed charge settings should work too. This is really a workaround rather than a fix.

If you have the AIO on eco mode with an off-peak charge cycle then any excess should go to export regardless of the time of day. For late spring to September if you have a large enough battery then setting a Discharge time of 5-7:30pm daily will probably cover any peak export bonuses. Off-peak charging can be set to only begin if the battery is at a low enough level (40% in my case, which won't be needed until mid Autumn).
