Since the software change i now have zero access to my inverter because it is on a separate wifi network, is there a workaround to fix this? I am not asking to do anything clever but the inverter is no longer fit for purpose

Smugbug looks interesting, GE should get them for their customers that have no local
wifi access
SteveCook i can't find Smugbug, it just points to photo software

One obvious workaround is to connect your phone to that WiFi network. You could run the inverter app on a dedicated android device on that network.
johnny5 The latest version of the GE app V4.0.7.5907 lets you set the IP address/port of your inverter.
Connection => Local Connection
The "Inverter" app on BBC Basic gives you full control for free, you might need to be on the same network at the time - not sure.
