Manual settings for today's Axle event

I missed my first Axle event last time and want to be sure that if Axle doesn't switch my inverter settings I can do it manually, (if I knew what I was doing!!) My system is 2 AIO with a gateway. Wifi is off and all components connected via LAN and my Router.
Using the GivEnergy App, I can see that my inverter settings are ECO on, Timed Discharge is Off and Timed Export is Off.
Would I be right in setting Eco off, Timed discharge On and Timed export On at 1900 in case Axle fails to communicate the switch on settings?
I will admit being confused with Timed discharge terminology. If it's Off will the house loads come from the grid or the battery?
I do have a gateway to Cloud communication problem which started when the second AIO was fitted last Oct. The comms with the cloud were lost for about 5 mins per day and can be seen via the system data. I did an AIO firmware update to 013 in Feb this year and now the loss of comms to the cloud is averaging 4 hours this month. I suspect the last Axle event occurred when I was in the dark and offline.
I'm sure there will be an expert out there to help this Muppet.

You can leave eco on - it's only old inverters that need to turn eco off to export.

Timed discharge is needed only for some scenarios (probably small battery). Its just a wrapper around the pause facility - if you set timed discharge to be 4pm to 7pm, it's just pausing discharge outside of that window. Typically used to preserve energy for peak period, for example.

I thought I would keep you informed as to what happened on Axle Event last night 19:00 -20:00. Well from my point of view, nothing apart from my blood pressure rising alongside my frustration. My Gateway decided not to play nicely in the sandpit and proceeded to go Offline at 18:52 and sulked until 19:22. Clearly the Axle command for setting the Gateway to Export wasn't received so I did a manual export. I had already set up the timed Export for the time but not activated it. Waiting for the Cloud to update and willing it not to go offline I activated the Timed Export. With the App refreshed, honestly you couldn't make it up. The Batteries were at 99% but the grid was importing to the batteries and covering the House loads. The Battery Schedule (Smart Scheduler slide in Off Pos'n) was indicating Buy between 19:00 to 20:00. Needless to say I switched off Timed Export PDQ but not before I needlessly spent dosh on electricity that I didn't need.
The Gateway offline has been a problem since the second AIO instal but 5 min missing in 24 Hrs, I never saw it. Now it's averaging out to 4 hrs in a 24 period with the break between 5 and 25 mins.
Have sent a help request to Predictive Support. Fingers crossed.
