Just ran my daily check and see that at 8.45am my battery started to discharge at 2.6Kw, Grid export shot up to 2.1kw, and my panels show 0W. It's now 9.50 and it's still happening.
I'm registered with Axle, but have not been told of any use today...
Any ideas?

Eventually, I noticed deep in the Remote Control History this message (see screenshot)
A quick Google revealed that the server had decided that, as the battery charge hadn't dropped lower than 50% for a while, it needed recalibrated. It has spent the day discharging the batteries to 0%, and is still on the recharge, presumably up to 100%.
This seems to be completely out of my hands, and came without warning.
An email or something would have been nice Givenergy.

That's why I blocked internet acces for GE equipment permanently. To avoid situations like this.
@noelc As an Axle user you do have the ge premium subscription and I wonder if this is their smart tariff stuff kicking in it maybe some other premium feature ?
noelc Do you have a Gen1 inverter? I recall that if instructions were sent to the inverter too quickly that it could start an unscheduled calibration on early Gen1's. If it isn't back to normal by now you could try downloading Richard Russell's 'Inverter App' from the App Store or Google Play. If it prompts you to, enter your Inverter's IP address. Press the Left arrowhead twice to move to the following screen.
If you long press the screen just to the right of the quick settings buttons you will get the following screen.
You could try the Stop Calibration option, then a Reset to Defaults.
Thanks for your responses folks, much appreciated. Axle also responded to my question and came back with a reasoned reply that was also helpful.
In the end, the discharge/charge cycle only happened the once and everything is back to normal. I think the recalibration issue was the likeliest.
At the moment the battery is not discharging very much as the panels are providing more than enough for the house. Will see what happens when the weather breaks!
