For the first 2 weeks after I took out the premium subscription, my cosy tariff (3 charging slots a day) was working fine.
Over the last 10 days it hasn't been working at all. I've restored to defaults and tried to set the automation up several times, but no joy. I've also tried to set up via smart scheduling but that is a joke.
I'm not techy so any predbat/HA suggestions are outwith my capacity.
Anyone overcome this difficulty? Battery is still useful on sunny days but not much cop the rest of the time.
Setting up a smart tariff
Gilmour what sort of inverter do you have? And what were you hoping the smart tariff would do for you? Possibly using solar prediction to decide whether to charge overnight? I'm not sure if they've implemented that yet, have they?
Prior to 10 days ago, it was possible to use my octopus account details to set my tariff up on givenergy to automate charging at the time of my cheap slots. It no longer seems to be working, which is costing me money and making me sad.
I have three cheap slots and giv only offer one charging slot for my inverter (giv ac3).
Gilmour You have to pay for the Premium option if you want to set an automatic schedule and use the api. There are alternative web options which require a subscription such as Wonderwatt and Predbat Cloud. If you have an Android device you can leave at home you can download the Monitor for GivEnergy Inverter app. For a one off payment of £10 it will let you set up schedules.

Could you clarify what you consider to be "working fine" and "not working at all". Perhaps fully charging from grid during each cheap slot? Which "automation" do you mean, if not the "smart scheduling" ?
Is it possible the smart scheduling has decided there's enough solar that it doesn't need to import?
It used to be possible to use Octopus R&D to do scheduling via the API - not sure if that still works.
Gilmour I'm having the same issue..I have my installers liaising with givenergy's installers support - newly setup it's going by a different name I believe pred support. Still not heard back. I reckon it may take a while so I thought if post here as others too maybe affected. If anything comes of it I'll post an update on here, until then I'll keep searching for answers on here.
I am also having problems with the "Automation" It shows:Today's Charge Schedule
There are currently no charge slots scheduled for your system. We recalculate every thirty minutes using factors such as tariff prices, estimated energy usage, and solar generation (where applicable). but no slots have been allocated.
The battery has not charged overnight on cheap tariff for last 2 nights - Yesterday it was set to export during the cheap rate. I reverted to manual control but it has reset to Automation. I have set up the Tariffs again to see if it will work.
Very frustrated.

There is no GivEnergy support anymore. Predsupport is the GivEnergy support people that were made redundant and they have to charge to put food on the table.
