Battery not discharging completely

Hi, my battery no longer discharges completely, it seems to stop at 14%, I can’t see an issue with the settings, does anyone have any idea how to fix this, please?

Tony_W Hi Tony, can you give details of your system and any software, third party companies your system is hooked up to so the community can better help. Also do you have any logs showing what commands/settings relate to the behaviour please?

It's a 3.6kw inverter with a 5.4kw battery, discharge reserve is set to 4%, no third party companies are hooked up, but I'm struggling to find out much because I decided to try and manage without signing up to premium and I can only use the app on my phone, I don't think there's an app for a mac. I used to be able to access remote control on my laptop for a while after the change, but not any longer.

Have you done a timed export with a 14% reserve recently. Even if the timed export is disabled it will keep the14% reserve active. It is a "feature". If so you need to reset the timed export reserve to 4%.

I think you still can. I don't have premium but can get to my remote control page at

Then select the inverter tab and the top right remote control icon. Then jump to logs and you should see all the commands that have been sent.

Windy Miller Thanks, that's great that I can at least see remote control again, there have been a few battery voltage low messages, but I don't yet know whether they coincide with the battery stopping discharging at 14%.

PaDav6 Thanks for the suggestion, but no, I haven't done that, the fault seems to be spontaneous, I'm wondering whether I should just discharge the battery and see how far it goes, or maybe do some calibration.

Maxwell Thanks, the alternative control option is a great idea, thanks. Would it be that I could just go back to using the givenergy app if I found the alternative tricky to use?

Tony_W You can use the beeb apps and the GE ones at the same time. I use the iphone beeb version and ge app. The ge app does have a reset option to set factory defaults and the beed app allows you to do a full battery calibration.
