Sharing my experience so others can save money and time trying to fix.
Problem started back in May, I was out for the evening and for some reason my daughter decided to bake a cake - reason still escapes me why she would do this at nearly 10pm. Apparently as she turned the oven on the house lost the power and then came back on after some time. I got back at nearly 11pm, for all I know problem could have been a freak event not related to oven and its so long ago now I can't remember exactly what I did except to say we tried to finish the cake and the AIO was not offering to cover the electric.
You can see the AIO reporting NORMAL at 21:58 below and vBat offers 313.41w. At 22.57 you can see me attempting to restart the AIO and status is WARNING and vBat is 0v and the oven is consuming approx 3kw.

The symptoms persist to this day. AIO will startup with green flashing light showing to suggest the inverter is ready. But at the point when the clicks occur on startup I get a constant beeping and a persisted message in the logs 'BMS Error'. Sadly, I've not really got passed this and am at the point where I am sure if GivEnergy were still trading it would have been a full swap out. My installers were helpful and tried things that PredSupport suggested. Here are some of the more interesting comments from the thread with PredSupport:
I can see the battery pack itself is at 313v and 56%.
However the inverter cannot see this.
Is the breaker on the right side in the Up position?
That unit internals not being powered by the battery is not the best sign, that with the 0V reading makes me think the management system has failed. So no power is allowed to leave the battery.
The batteries are 56% charged up. So thats not the problem here. there is no power getting from the battery box to the inverter box.
So this will need deeper investigation. Possible internal fuse, or the DC breaker on the right side is off or faulty.
At this point the fuse was confirmed as having blown by installers, it was replaced, but the symptoms remained the same. AIO still beeping, inverter WAITING (green flashing light). I went back to PredSupport and they made the following observations:
i reviewed some of the older correspondance, and I myself checked the packs and they were fine.
So this indeed does look to be hardware related.
THe fuse blowing is a sure indication something is very wrong.
The Battery runs at 20A at full power, so blowing the 50A fuse does indicate that there is something seriously wrong with the power board.
Recently I found the GivLocal monitor app and found this really helpful as it gives more detail about the 'BMS Error'. It reported: 'BMS Charger Over Temperature', 'BMS Over Voltage', 'Battery Open' and 'Battery Match Fault','BMS Comms Fault', I also briefly saw 'Battery Reversed', but this went away. This also allows me to see the individual packs which still report 54% SOC and 99% SOH.
I am going to try and recover some of cost of the AIO by selling it for spares. I will raise another thread for this.
