Battery not chaging

Hello, when I checked my setup this morning I found that I'm producing 1.3kw, not much because it's cloudy but the house is using 400w and the rest is exporting, not charging the battery at all. I've reset the preferences to default and selected eco mode to no avail.
I do belong to the Axle energy system and have been suspicious a few times about whether things are set back to normal after an event.
Any ideas please?

Using the portal, look at the logs and make sure Eco has been turned back on after an Axle event.

steelesolar selected eco mode to no avail.

Have you tried explicitly setting eco off then on again? That can help if a cache gets out of sync.
I'm not 100% sure, but perhaps this could also arise if you're in a timed export state but battery has reached configured SoC limit? (What is the current battery soc?)

Im on axle and have to reset my eco, timed charge etc after every event

Why does axle toggle the eco button? All we need to do is full export and they get the same result. Toggling it 5 to 10 minutes before and after a grid event seems counter productive, the house runs on grid energy during this 5 to 10 minutes, across the areas involved must be a huge amount of power.

Marren2016 gen-1 will only export if the eco flag is off. I did write to suggest that they detect if the system actually needs it, or defer clearing the eco flag until closer to the event, rather than 10 mins before.
Obviously they have a lot of systems to send instructions to, so they probably do need the lead time. But for a diminishing number of gen-1 systems, perhaps better to err on slightly late than too early.

I’m slightly puzzled by this. I don’t use Axle but do export every day with my gen 1 5kw inverter. The “new” app just says Use then switches to Sell and back to Use a couple of hours later. There is no 10 minute wait it seems near enough instant so why do Axle need to fart about?

DD I never touch the eco button when I'm charging or exporting and it works perfectly for me, I assumed the eco detected what the house demanded and sent power accordingly, rather than at set times of the day.

There was a great long thread about it a long time ago.

(Note that this discussion predates the change to the implementation of timed discharge.)

Perhaps they addressed it in later versions of the firmware ? (Possibly the "fast response" firmware that's been mentioned from time to time.)
